Jubilee will only dialogue with Raila about retirement Ruto

Deputy President William Ruto has said that the Jubilee government will only dialogue with Raila Odinga to discuss his retirement from politics.

Ruto told a rally in Nanyuki that the government will only talk with the opposition leader after the October 26 presidential repeat poll to discuss his send off package.

While saying the country was not going to be held hostage by “interests of those who are against progress”, the deputy president also issued an ultimatum.

“We are saying to our competitiors and their sponsors that enough is enough. We will have an election on October 26,” he said. “It doesn’t matter how many demonstrations, it doesn’t matter how many conditions you put, it doesn’t matter how many resignations, Kenyans must move on.”

This comes on the back of electoral body commissioner, Roselyn Akombe resigning from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, saying that IEBC in its current state cannot guarantee a credible repeat poll.
