Judge warns widows living in Eldoret to avoid Vincent Kiriago Mogambi

A judge has warned widows living in Eldoret to avoid one Vincent Kiriago Mogambi at all cost.

This is after the court noted that the man preys on widows and the deceives them them into signing away their wealth.

“What widows need most at their time of distress is a helper who can shower them with love and offer support not deceitful and thieving men whose main goal is to strike at vulnerable widows ,” the judgement reads.

In the case, Elizabeth Afandi Kayiya moved to court against Mogambi accusing him of registering her properties under his name.

The lady whose husband died told the court that she cohabited with the defendant he abused the trust she had in him.

The man who moved from Webuye to Eldoret never appeared in court to defend the petition against him.

Judge Boaz. N. Olao quoted several Bible verses including Exodus 22:22-24 and Mark 12:40 which states: “They take advantage of widows and rob them of their homes, and then make a show of saying long prayers.”

The judgement is dated March 3, 2021.
