Judiciary car auction disappoints bidders

The Judiciary car auctioning process was marred with stiff bidding with interested parties raising complaints on how the exercise was conducted.

Bidders who turned up for the auction as early as Friday, October 14 6:00 am left disappointed as most of them would not afford the vehicles due to the competitiveness process.

Bidders say that the prices hiked contrary to their expectations, accusing the Judiciary and auctioneers of colluding to deny them the opportunity to participate in a fair process.

Judiciary put on auction 40 vehicles which were in its parking lot for close to four years.

The highest auctioned vehicle was a Toyota Land Cruiser that was sold at 2 million shillings and Mercedes Benz, which was bought at 1.7 million shillings.

The cheapest sold car went for Ksh 110,000.
