Junior police officer shoots dead his boss in Samburu

A police officer was Saturday evening shot dead by his junior at their police camp in Maralal town, Samburu County.

Confirming the incident, County Police Commander Karanja Muiruri said the suspect has since been arrested.

“A junior officer has killed a senior sergeant who is his boss, we have launched investigations into the incident; we have already arrested and disarmed the suspect,” said Mr. Muiruri.

The body of the deceased was taken to Samburu County Referral Hospital mortuary.

Area residents, led by MCA Asha Mohammed, condemned the incident urging junior police officers who have issues with their seniors to settle them amicably.
