Kabete MP Shot Dead

According to police, the four were sprayed with bullets at about 4.30 am when their vehicle slowed down at the Nyayo house roundabout on Kenyatta Avenue.

Eye witnesses at the scene say the car was sprayed with bullets by men in a probox whose number plates were concealed.

A comunications manager at St John Ambulance Fred Majiwa is quoted as saying that there were no signs of life at the scene.

Following the shooting, a section of Kenyatta Avenue was blocked by police who were combing the scene before the four bodies could be taken to the mortuary.

Muchai was at some point the vice chairman of the National Industrial Training Authority Board, a state corporation in the Ministry of Labour Social Security and Services.

Muchai sits in the state institution as a representative of Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) where prior to his political debut, he served as the deputy secretary.

Leaders including Nairobi senator Mike Sonko and CORD leader Raila Odinga have sent their condolences to the family and condemned the killings.

The leaders have called for immediate investigations into the incident.
