Kabogo to Uhuru: Arrest the corrupt in your govt or we will

Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has sent an ultimatum to the president to deal with the corrupt officials in his government.

Speaking at Muigai Wa Njoroge- a Kikuyu star musician’s- homecoming in Thika, Kabogo sent Moses Kuria with a message to the president-that the Mt Kenya region is not happy.

The outspoken politician threatened to marshall up support from Jubilee supporters to arrest the corrupt leaders from their offices.

“If Uhuru cannot arrest the corrupt leaders, he should tell us,it is his government, we shall march to their offices and arrest them ourselves,” Kabogo told the crowd

Still in his message to the president, Kabogo said that the Mt Kenya region which boasts of being the largest voting block was tired of being used election after election.

“We are tired of showing up to vote without benefiting from it, we did not vote for Uhuru’s goverment so that they could steal from us,” he added.

Kabogo also accused his successor Ferdinard Waititu of massive corruption saying that the latter has bought three apartment blocks in Nairobi in his short tenure as Kiambu governor.

“Where did he get the money to buy three buildings in Nairobi in the short time that he has been governor? ” Kabogo quipped.

Elsewhere, DP Ruto who was attending church service in Mwiki accused his critics of politicizing the war on corruption.

He accused the leader of opposition Raila Odinga of using the handshake as a tool to scuttle and destroy the government from within.

He asked Raila to ‘fix’ the opposition before lecturing the Jubilee government on how to implement its mandate to the people.
