Kaimenyi Cautions Schools Against Exorbitant Fees

Education Cabinet Secretary Professor Jacob Kaimenyi has warned secondary school heads against levying exorbitant school fees, a day after protests by parents in Nairobi against the rising cost of secondary education. Kaimenyi has denied having failed to stop the steep rise in school fees saying the ministry is looking into the allegations and will take disciplinary action against officials flouting ministry guidelines. But as Hussein Mohamed reports, it appears some schools are still defying orders from the ministry.
