Kaimenyi Speaks On Laptop Project

Speaking during the Laikipia County Education Day in Nanyuki, Education Cabinet Secretary Jacob Kaimenyi says the court case has delayed the roll-out of the one laptop per class one child and pupils will have to wait a while longer.

Indican firm olive telecommunications went to court to appeal a ruling by public procurement administrative review board to revoke a tender it had been awarded to supply the laptops.

Following the application by olive, High Court Judge Justice Weldon Korir on March 19th, halted the government from procuring the supply tender afresh.
