Kainuk Demonstration Enters Day 3

Stranded commuters and motorists are currently camping at Kainuk Police Station.

The Kenya Red-Cross is also at the site offering the commuters with healthcare and feeding women and children.

Kainuk residents lamented over a rise in number of attacks and deaths after three people were killed during Jamhuri Day celebrations.

They said that they will continue blocking the road until President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto decisively address the security situation there.

A humanitarian crisis has now been reported due to lack of basic necessities with children and women being the most affected.
