Kajwang Threatens To Sue Duale Over Graft Claims

Speaking this morning, Kajwang said he will take the legal action if Duale does not substantiate his claims that he has evidence linking him to irregular issuance of the vital immigration documents.

Kajwang termed the allegations against him as political witchhunt and said he will not hesitate to take legal action against the Majority Leader.

"I have never sued anyone in my life. But this time round, I will take that action if Duale does not publish the particulars" kajwang said.

The immediate former Immigrations Minister said that he was proud of the work he did as minister and that he continues to stand by every decision he made.

He indicated that he ran the 'most robust, energetic and transparent system during his tenure as Immigrations Minister."

Kajwang added that "If it was true that I engaged in such deals and Duale had the evidence, I would be in jail by now."

Kajwang further urged Duale to let investigative agencies deal with the issues at immigration since he has no capacity to carry out any investigation.

Kajwang expressed his disappointment saying that the government should not allow anyone to make such serious allegations without substantiating.

The Majority Leader in the company of other Jubilee MPs said there was documentary evidence that Kajwang benefited financially from the issuance of almost 500,000 vital national documents to illegal immigrants.

The 30 plus Jubilee mps claimed they had evidence linking Kajwang to abuse of office and illegal issuance of sensitive national documents during his 5-year stint at Nyayo House.

The Jubilee team also claimed that under Kajwang’s watch, thousands of passports were dished out to aliens which compromised national security.
