Kakamega: 2-year-old boy drowns in river

A village in Navakholo constituency in Kakamega county is saddened after a 2-year-old boy drowned in River Kisembe.

Speaking to Citizen Digital, his father Patrick Wanjala Wanyonyi, stated that his son was chasing his friends on their way to school when the incident happened.

“I was on the farm when I was informed that my child had fallen into the river. We took him to the hospital for first aid but he was already deceased,” he said

The body of the victim was retrieved from the water and taken home.
