Kakamega sleuths hunting for suspect linked to brothers murder

Detectives in Kakamega are hunting for a suspect linked to the murder of his elder brother on Sunday.

Robinson Techera Munyenya, 32, is reported to have picked a quarrel with his brother at around 6am.

According to the the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Munyenya accused his 41-year-old brother of stealing maize from his house.

A physical confrontation ensued attracting the attention of their father who intervened and managed to separate them.

By that time however, the elder brother had been beaten to a pulp. He succumbed to his injuries around 5pm.

The suspect is said to have escaped following the death of his brother.

“Anyone with information that may assist in his arrest is requested to call our toll-free number-0800 722 203,” the DCI said on Twitter.
