Kalonzo agrees with Uhuru’s leadership – DP Ruto to Ukambani people

President Uhuru Kenyatta has condemned the intrinsic culture of voting along tribal lanes, saying it will only degenerate the progress of the state hence sabotaging venerable leaders.

Speaking during a campaign rally in Machakos County on Tuesday, July 4, where he commissioned the tarmacking of Matuu-Ekalakala-Kanguku and Katulani-Kyasioni roads in a quest to solicit Ukambani votes, President Kenyatta said that Kenyans should change their voting culture.

Speaking to Machakos residents, Deputy President William Ruto contended that the presidential race is between Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga, and they should not be deceived by NASA that Kalonzo Musyoka will represent them in equal stature.

He added that Kalonzo will only be politically viable to the people of Machakos in 2022 when he will have a face-off with Ruto.

Further, the Deputy President insinuated that whatever scuffle that is brewing between him and Kalonzo is only a minor obstacle that can easily be suppressed.

“Even our brother Kalonzo agrees with Uhuru’s leadership, you heard him say he has no problem with President Uhuru Kenyatta, he only has a slight problem with me,” said Ruto.
