Wiper Democratic Movement leader Kalonzo Musyoka has said he will undertake the mediation role to bring opposition leader Raila Odinga and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula to a round-table.

This comes barely a day after NASA leaders accused the Ford-Kenya leader of throwing tantrums, urging him to accept his ouster as leader of minority in the Senate.

Kalonzo, who was addressing a conference on Mediation themed “Mediation for Development” at Strathmore University in Nairobi on Thursday, said Kenyans are tired of combative politics and are yearning for politics of tolerance.

“Looking at the papers today, I saw firebrand politics. I think Kenyans are getting tired of that type of politics. We lose the God-given virtue of tolerance by not listening to each other,” said Kalonzo.

The NASA co-principal also urged opposition supporters to ignore headlines that the coalition was on its deathbed following Wetangula’s outburst in Machakos last week where he also accused Mr. Odinga of betraying the coalition.

“I consider myself an important player in the NASA family and I am not aware of the pronounced “death” of NASA Coalition,” said Kalonzo.

The Wiper boss promised to bring Odinga and Wetangula together in an effort to diffuse the notion that there are widening cracks within the NASA family.

Kalonzo also reiterated his call to President Uhuru Kenyatta not to relent in the war against corruption.

“If President Uhuru Kenyatta blinks on this fight against corruption, we will have lost it. If he doesn’t blink, I will give him a big hug myself,” stated the former Vice President.
