Kalonzo insists Duale must face the ICC

Wiper Leader, Kalonzo Musyoka, has reiterated his earlier stance that he will be writing to the International Criminal Court (ICC) over inciting comments by Leader of Majority in the National Assembly, Aden Duale.

Addressing his supporters in Garissa County, Kalonzo said Kenyans have the freedom under the supreme law to live and work anywhere in the country, and not be to be discriminated against on tribal basis.

He has urged Kenyans to embrace diversity and co-existence adding that leaders who preach tribal hatred must be shunned.

He was speaking during the homecoming ceremony of former National Assembly Deputy Speaker, Farah Maalim, who recently joined the Wiper Party.

During the event, Duale came under sharp criticism from various speakers who accused him of fanning inter-ethnic hatred.

Garissa has recently witnessed some tension since the release of an audio purportedly linking Duale with some inflammatory remarks appearing to target a certain community living in Garissa.
