Kalonzo Musyoka trolled after skipping ‘swearing in’ ceremony

National Super Alliance co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka is on the receiving end of backlash from Kenyans on Twitter after he skipped the controversial ‘swearing in’ ceremony held by the opposition on Tuesday.

Musyoka, who was Odinga’s running mate in the last election, as well as fellow co-principals Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula pulled a no-show, leaving Odinga to take the oath alone.

Speaking to Citizen TV earlier in the day, Musyoka had hinted at skipping the ceremony, blaming it on the pulling out of their (NASA leaders) security teams.

“My security detail has been withdrawn. I hope sincerely that our supporters can see what we are going through,” said Musyoka.

It would however appear that NASA supporters are not convinced by the Wiper Party leader’s excuse, resorting to troll him on Twitter instead.

After being ‘sworn in’, Odinga issued a brief address where he said Kalonzo Musyoka would take his oath at a later date.

The opposition chief further said what caused his co-principals to skip the event would be disclosed soon.
