Karume’s Family To Resolve Dispute Peacefully

The family of the late Karume, a powerful politician and businessman, was engaged in long tussles over his property.

The family pluged to court battles immediately after his death with every member claiming part of his property and billions of investments.

During a memorial service on Karume's third anniversary at his Cianda home in Kiambu, the family promised to work together inorder to uphold their father’s legacy.

A multimillion mausoleum is being constructed beside the late Karume's grave to provide a point of reference for future generations.

The memorial service was attended by former Presidents Mwai Kibaki and Daniel Moi as well as former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

Karume, a former Cabinet Minister, was described as a selfless leader by Kiambu Member of Parliament Jude Njomo.

Leaders described him as a true nationalist and an intelligent leader.
