Katitu To Appear In Court

Katitu whose arrest caused two days of riots in Githurai last week will know his fate today.

The officer is being charged with the killing of Kenneth Kimani Mwangi in April 2013.

The residents who joined hands with human rights' activists demanded the release of Katitu who they claim was a crime buster.

They said Katitu had played a major role in fighting crime in Githurai area.

The protestors blocked the Nairobi-Thika Superhighway and engaged the police in running battle for two consecutive days.

They were asking the Director of Public Prosecutions to terminate the case against Katitu.
