KCB Kajiado Rally Cancelled

According to the organisers, KCB Bank Group on Friday evening, the event will be rescheduled to a later date.

Heavy rains pounding Kajiado made the routes that were to be used for the rally impassible with drivers on recce stuck in the mud for better part of Friday.

“We regret to inform you that the #KCBKajiadoRally has been pstponed owing to bad weather that has deemed roads impassable,” read a post on Twitter.

“We regret the inconvenience to the fans who were eagerly awaiting the rally action and a new date will be communicated later.”

The organisers had earlier pushed the third leg of the Kenya National Rally Championship (KNRC) leg by a day to Sundayand extended the recce to Saturday in a bid to push through with the event but the options seemed minimal prompting the cancellation.

Leading drivers had also pulled out of the competition owing to bad weather including former national champion, Carl Tundo, Alastair Cavenagh and the all-family crew of father Frank and Tash.
