KCSE 2019: Age no limit for Marion Effie Naekena

It was song and dance for the family of Marion Effie Naekena after she scored an A grade in the KCSE 2019 results.

The 15-year-old girl sat for the national examinations at Kipsigis Girls High School.

Neighbors and relatives thronged the home of Mr. Lemali Sauroki in Kabarnet on Wednesday full of praise and admiration for Naekena’s achievement.

Mr. Sauroki narrated how his daughter joined St. Paul Primary in Marigat and later moved to a boarding school in Molo.

She then joined Kipsigis Girls High School in Kericho county.

He intimated that he never doubted his daughter’s capability despite critics questioning whether she should would be able to handle the national exams.

According to Naekena, hard work and dedication is what led to her successful performance.

She scored 81 points in the underage category with her father saying age is not a limiting factor.

Naekena intends to pursue Electrical Engineering at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT).
