KDF officer arrested for allegedly selling explosives

Police in Nairobi have arrested a Kenya Defence Forces officer, a former soldier and three others linked to an explosives selling racket in Langata’s Otiende Estate.

According to Nairobi Police Boss Japheth Koome, a multi-agency team from the National Intelligence Service, KWS and detectives from the Bomb Disposal Unit at the DCI headquarters has been dispatched to investigate the matter.

The suspects have been identified as Francis Oluoch from Kabete Barracks, Robert Osano, a former soldier, Nathaniel Kiprono, Johnson Omayio and Simon Gichuki.

Further reports indicate that police recovered explosives from the suspects, which have also been taken for analysis.
