KDF soldier goes berserk, kills 2 relatives, shoots self

A Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) soldier is reported to have shot dead two people before turning the gun on himself at Jua Kali in Turbo, Uasin Gishu County.

According to Eldoret West OCPD Zachariah Bitok, the Tuesday morning incident happened after the KDF soldier shot his uncle and aunt for unknown reasons.

The soldier who Citizen Digital has independently established is attached to military intelligence, is reported to have travelled from Gilgil on Monday night to the said home using a government vehicle.

Police officers rushed to the scene after residents reported gunshots at 5am.

Bitok now says that investigations into the incident are already underway.
