Keep off Machakos politics, Kalonzo told

Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua has sent a warning to Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka to keep off Machakos politics.

The governor claimed that the Wiper leader and Cord co-principal has been calling members of the Machakos County Assembly urging them to support his impeachment.

Speaking in Masii Town during a political rally, Governor Mutua said he has evidence of phone calls made by Kalonzo Musyoka urging Machakos MCAs to sign the document in support of his impeachment.

He questioned whether Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka took that step because he has interests in Machakos Governorship.

”I wonder whether he wants the governor’s seat come 2017, and if so he should come out clean and declare his intentions,” he said.

Mr Mutua urged Kalonzo Musyoka to keep off Machakos politics, adding that he would not be coerced or blackmailed by a section of the MCAs who are using the impeachment ploy to extort money from him.
