KenGen employees charged with theft of millions
Three KenGen Retirement Benefit Scheme employees have been charged with the theft of over Ksh 160M from the Scheme kitty.
However one of the accused persons by name Keziah Muthoni Mugo did not appear in court for being unwell.
It is alleged that on the diverse dates between 1st July 2009 to 30th September 2015 at their offices in Nairobi;Benson Kipngetich Rono,Keziah Muthoni Mugo and Lameck Okeyo stole Ksh.166,102,388 from the members savings.
They denied the charges before Milimani Chief Magistrate Daniel Ogembo who released them on Ksh 5 million bond and a surety of the same amount with an alternative cash bail of Ksh 1 million.
The case will be mentioned on May 20th, 2016.
