Kenya Airways replaces Group Finance Director
National carrier Kenya Airways has replaced its Group Finance Director Alex Wainaina Mbugua with the current Cargo General Manager Dick Murianki.
In a letter, the Kenya Airways Board said the changes take effect immediately.
Mr Murianki takes over in an acting capacity until a suitable replacement is found.
Mbugua’s exit becomes the first major shake up at the airline which is conducting a restructuring exercise across the board.
Mbugua, who has been at the helm of the airline for the last 8 years, was the captain of the team behind the 10-year Project Mawingu fleet and route expansion plan.
Kenya Airways has been making losses for the last three years with a major shocker in the 2014/2015 Financial Year when it reported a loss of Ksh 26 billion.
