Kenya, Israel to share intelligence reports in fight against terrorism

Israel will share intelligence with Kenya in order to avert acts of terror, this is according to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Speaking during a joint press conference with President Uhuru Kenyatta at State House, Nairobi, the Israeli PM noted that there is a wave of terrorism and all these terror groups are attacking ‘our people.’

“If you know in advance and can prevent it or pre-empt it that is more helpful. Israel is doing it. We will share intelligence with Kenya and Africa. We share similar experiences and we must remain united to fight this scourge of terror,” stated Netanyahu.

President Kenyatta noted that Kenya stands to gain a lot from Israel in matters security.

“Kenya stands to gain a lot with this partnership in security, training, strategic thinking and assistance in use of technology. Israel has faced this challenge longer than we have,” stated President Kenyatta.

The two leaders were addressing the nation after signing a couple of agreements on health and immigration at State House, Nairobi.

“There will be abolition of visas for holders of diplomatic passports from both Israel and Kenya. We also want to re-establish how Israel can regain her observer position in the African Union,” said President Kenyatta.

President Kenyatta encouraged peace talks between Israel and Palestine noting that all issues can be resolved through dialogue.
