Kenya joins the world in marking Christmas Day

Kenyans have joined the rest of the world in marking the birth of Jesus Christ, Christmas Day.

Kenyans were in their element on Thursday night as they ushered in Christmas.

The day is celebrated the world over in different churches as well as night clubs.

Celebrations culminated with midnight masses in different worship centers such as the Holy Family Basilica in Nairobi which saw many Kenyans congregate for the midnight mass that was filled with song and dance.

Different night clubs were packed to capacity as Kenyans set to  count down to midnight.

Loads of food vendors were also out on the streets milking the opportunity to sell to those who were still out in the wee hours of the morning.

The message of peace as well as unity is the most being shared by Kenyans with one reveler identified as Wilson Mwangi asking Kenyans to be “our brother’s keeper.”

There is also a consistent call to help the needy during this festive season.
