Kenya Power restores power in parts of the country

The Kenya Power Company has restored power supply in the North Rift, Western, South Nyanza, Mt Kenya and Central Kenya regions following a major power outage that occurred on Saturday at 5:30am.

In an earlier statement to newsrooms, Kenya Power blamed tripping of a main Olkaria-Nairobi 220KV supply line, leading to the outage.

The company says efforts to restore supply to other areas are ongoing.
