Kenya records 2 new coronavirus deaths, 80 recoveries and 102 new infections
Kenya coronavirus cases have risen to 35,205 after 102 people tested positive between Sunday and Monday.
The cases are from 2068 samples and push the total number of samples tested so far to 477,145.
The new cases include 93 Kenyans and 9 foreigners aged between 1 and 86-years-old.
The Ministry of Health CAS Dr Rashid Aman announced that 51 males and 51 females constituted the new cases.
The cases are distributed across the country as follows: Nairobi (41), Kitui (11), Kiambu (7), Mombasa (6), Busia (5), Turkana (4), Nyeri (4), Taita Taveta (4), Meru and Murang’a (2) cases each, Kajiado, Machakos, Makueni,
Bungoma and Kilifi (2) cases each, Embu, Laikipia, Garissa and Kisumu (1) case each.
In Nairobi, the (41) cases are distributed as follows: Starehe (5) Embasi West and Westlands (4) cases each, Kamukunji, Kasarani and Langata (3) cases each, Dagoretti North, Embakasi Central, Embakasi East, Kibra,
Makadara, Mathare, Roysambu and Ruaraka (2) cases each.
Dagoretti South, Embakasi North, and Embakasi South (1) case each.
In Kitui, the (11) cases are in: Kitui South (3), Kitui East, Kitui Rural and Kitui West (2) cases each.
Kitui Central and Mwingi Central reported (1) case each.
The (7) cases in Kiambu are from: Ruiru and Thika (2) cases each, Kabete , Kiambaa and Kiambu Town (1) case each.
In Mombasa, the (6) cases are from: Jomvu (3), Mvita (2) and Kisauni (1).
Kenya has also announced 80 new recoveries; 30 of the new recoveries were patients under the home-based care system while 50 were dicharged from various hospitals.
The total number of recoveries so far now stands at 21,310.
Two patients have also succumbed to the disease, pushing the total number of fatalities so far to 599.
