Two men arrested for seeking terrorism training in Somalia

Two men were on Wednesday arraigned in court and charged with travelling to Somalia for terrorism training.

Salama Salim Mohammed and Suleiman Hemed Mwandilo were arrested on March 7 at Takaba in Mandera County enroute to the war-torn nation.

They denied the allegations before Milimani court magistrate Hellen Onkwani and were released on cash bail of Ksh. 200,000 with alternative bond of Ksh. 400,000.

 

The offence is contrary to section 30 C(1) of the prevention of Terrorism Act 2012. The case is scheduled for mentioning again in two weeks.
