Kenyan Olympic champion David Rudisha on Sunday sustained minor injuries after he was involved in a road accident at Nyansiongo area on the Kijauri-Keroka highway in Nyamira County.

Confirming the incident, Keroka OCPD Walter Abondo said the world 800 metres record holder, who was on his way to his Kilgoris home, rammed into a bus from behind.

None of the bus passengers sustained any injuries during the 2a.m incident but Rudisha was taken to Keroka sub-county Hospital where X-ray conducted on him showed no fractures.

The two-time World Champion was treated and discharged while his vehicle was towed to Keroka Police station.
