Kenyans make fun of Miguna nomination for Nairobi Deputy Governor
- “It must been a very tough move for the Governor because we all know that the Nairobi cartels would not approve a man of Miguna’s stature to run the affairs of the county. “Posts someone on twitter
- “It’s a parting shot as the governor tells the cartels that he is the one in charge.” Posts onother one
A majority of Kenyans online expressed disbelief after Miguna Miguna was nominated to be the next Nairobi Deputy Governor.
When reports emerged that Governor Mike Sonko had picked someone who once linked him to Nairobi cartels, there were claims that this was fake news.
However, on waking up to find the story on CitizenTV and other news websites, Kenyans were now assured of the authenticity of the reports.
While some like Senator Johnson Sakaja and County Assembly Speaker Beatrice Elachi strongly opposed the nomination, a section of Kenyans said Miguna “is what Nairobi needs to deal with the cartels.”
Others injected humour into the conversation making fun of how everyone is seemingly waiting for the firebrand lawyer to respond to his nomination.
