Kenyans online react to NTSA ban

Following President Uhuru Kenyatta’s ban of NTSA officers on the roads, Kenyans on Twitter did what they do best, react.

Majority have applauded the president’s decision saying the body is the cause of all the road menace.

#NTSA Ban is definately the best that happened to the kenyan roads …. That is a corruption camp that @UKenyatta ought to have disbanded earlier on .. We are thankfull though … Lets atleast deal with @PoliceKE atleast …

Others have however questioned the president’s decision wondering whether removing the NTSA body from the roads will rid Kenyans of the dangers on the roads.

Disbanding NTSA is a bad idea. Uhuru was not guided by facts and statistics in his decision to ban NTSA. It was a knee-jerk reaction to noise from drunkards who want freedom to drive without the risk of being caught

“As the government we are doing all it takes to ensure that the number of accidents reduce and that is why today we have ordered all NTSA officers who have been on the roads to be withdrawn and the traffic duty be left to the police officers,” President Kenyatta said.
