Kenyans online react to NTSA ban
Following President Uhuru Kenyatta’s ban of NTSA officers on the roads, Kenyans on Twitter did what they do best, react.
Majority have applauded the president’s decision saying the body is the cause of all the road menace.
#NTSA Ban is definately the best that happened to the kenyan roads …. That is a corruption camp that @UKenyatta ought to have disbanded earlier on .. We are thankfull though … Lets atleast deal with @PoliceKE atleast …

#TheDailyBrief NTSA are far off better off our roads. Let the reformed police do their work but without corruption of the Kitu Kindogo. We believe things will be okey with serious disciplined men in blue.

One day I was asking myself, "when will this day come?"
Thank you Mr President @UKenyatta aka @PresidentKE .#ntsaout#djziggykenya pic.twitter.com/4xegOZi1jx

Others have however questioned the president’s decision wondering whether removing the NTSA body from the roads will rid Kenyans of the dangers on the roads.
As long as ninjas in NTSA are still getting paid, keeping their jobs, he’s essentially sweeping this under our living room rug… But #TanoTena

This is really sad. These continuous road carnage we're seeing on our roads has nothing to do with NTSA. @ntsa_kenya has played its role but rogue drivers will finish our country. I support CS @FredMatiangi that we've given licenses to murderers! https://t.co/JqdObBDTpe

@KenyanTraffic @ntsa_kenya the ban will see now drunk driving cases raise, one body corruption cases rise a whole new mark.

Disbanding NTSA is a bad idea. Uhuru was not guided by facts and statistics in his decision to ban NTSA. It was a knee-jerk reaction to noise from drunkards who want freedom to drive without the risk of being caught

“As the government we are doing all it takes to ensure that the number of accidents reduce and that is why today we have ordered all NTSA officers who have been on the roads to be withdrawn and the traffic duty be left to the police officers,” President Kenyatta said.
