Kenyans react after Murkomen offers top KCSE performers 10-minute chopper ride
Elgeyo-Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen on Saturday offered a 10-minute chopper ride for the top five students at Sing’ore Girls High School in Iten and Kenyans on Twitter can’t have enough of it.
Taking to his Twitter handle, Murkomen said, “As a reward for their exemplary performance I offered a ten minutes chopper ride to the top five students. I am told it has motivated and excited the student community.”

The little known Sing’ore Girls High School in the Senate Majority Leader’s backyard stunned the nation by topping the 2017 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exam.
The school, with an entry of 271 students, did not have a single grade ‘A’ but had all it’s students admitted to public universities as even the least-performing candidate scored above the grade ‘C+’ cut off.
The extra-county school posted 15 A-, 165 B+, 83 B and 8 B- in the 2017 KCSE.
Below are samples of the reactions from Kenyans on the outspoken Jubilee pointman’s tweet;
I think you should have a sit down with kibra mp @okothkenneth coz you need serious motivation.

Hehee, get serious sometimes, serious leaders like @okothkenneth are building schools with cdf while you are offering ten minutes chopper rides and yelling all over…like it was some achievement

This is how your tweet should have read;
As a reward for their examplary performance I offered a ten minutes chopper ride to the top five students who would like to become pilots in the future.I am told it has motivated and excited them to work hard.

I think a scholarship or something would be better. I mean mtu anaoanda chopper then anaenda kukula sukuma wiki usiku. Doesn't add up

Have never seen a person of your caliber doing childish things like this. Help them invest in their education not rides.
