Kenyans upbeat about 2018, TIFA poll shows

64% of Kenyans are optimistic that 2018 will be a better year than 2017 with 17% of those interviewed not sure about future prospects and are adopting a wait and see attitude according to the latest survey by research firm TIFA.

Majority are hopeful that the beginning of 2018 will be a game-changer; especially on the divisive nature of Kenyan politics and a hopeful the year will signal a return to normalcy for the country.

According to TIFA CEO Maggy Ireri, more than 75% of Jubilee supporters feel that this year will be better than 2017 with less than 50% of Nasa Supporters in agreement.

Kenyans are also hopeful that politicians will give them a break for the next 5 years so as to allow the country to focus on economic development that will spur job creation and the lower the standards of living.

The survey was conducted between 12^th– 16th December 2017 with 1005 respondents taking part in the survey.
