Kenyans Warned Against Travel Through Londons Heathrow Airport
This new advisory covers more parts of Kenya after an earlier advisory that targeted Mombasa and its environs following rising insecurity and terror attack concerns.
In a statement to the press, UK High commission in Nairobi says that this follows security concerns that have been shared with the Kenyan government.
The commission has further refuted claims that the advisories are based on political or economic factors.
And in what seems like a diplomatic clash, the Kenyan government has also issued a travel advice warning Kenyans against travel through Britain’s Heathrow airport over terror attack fears.
In a statement to newsrooms, Foreign Affairs Ministry Principal Secretary Dr Karanja Kibicho advised Kenyans to seek other travel routes to the US and other European countries.
Kibicho added that US intelligence cites possible terror attack by Al Qaeda operatives from Yemen and Syria.
