Kenyatta Condemns Terrorism Attacks

Speaking when he hosted Muslims for an iftar dinner at the Kakamega state lodge, President Kenyatta said people who kill others in the name of religion are criminals who should be dealt with according to the law.

 

The President emphasized that no religion sanctions killing of innocent people.

 

Kenyatta further urged the Muslim community in the country to help the government by identifying criminals who misuse religion to harm other Kenyans.

 

The president intimated that the government is ready to dialogue with the opposition, on issues affecting Kenyans.

 

Also in attendance was National assembly majority leader Adan Duale who called on Muslim scholars to defend the true faith of Islam saying the religion does not condone shedding of innocent blood.
