Kenyatta Ranked 3rd Best African Leader

According to the Gallup World Poll 2013, President Kenyatta received 78 per cent approval ratings behind Mali's Ibrahim Keita who is leading with 86 percent.

 

The Gallup poll was conducted on 26 Sub-Saharan Heads of states.

 

Many of the leaders who are attending the U.S-Africa leaders’ summit that is kicking-off today, Momday in Washington received job approval ratings higher than 50%.

 

The lowest rating was the D.R.C President Joseph Kabila who received a job rating of 24 percent.

 

Among leaders who received some of the highest approval ratings in 2013 a few have been in office for more than two decades such as Cameroon’s Paul Biya and Uganda's Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

 

The America-Africa Leader’s Summit scheduled to take place from today till the 6th of August 2014.

 

In the summit, issues on development, investing in Africa’s future, peace and Security will be discussed.

 

President Kenyatta is also scheduled to address the Corporate Council on Africa which represents some of the major multinational companies in the US including General Electric Ltd, Coca Cola and IBM. 

 

President Kenyatta’s delegation includes Foreign Affairs and International Trade Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed, Interior and Coordination of National Government  CS Joseph Ole Lenku National Treasury CS Henry Rotich.
