Keriako On Chickengate, Anglo Leasing Scandals

Tobiko says he will act once he receives the files, coming a day after a UK court sentenced two senior employees of printing firm Smith and Ouzman after they were found guilty of corrupting Kenyan poll officials to get ballot printing contracts.

Company chair Christopher John Smith was sentenced to 18 months in prison while sales and marketing director Nicholas Charles Smith was imprisoned for three years.

EACC had said in December it would use evidence from the UK court case to aid its probe and prosecute electoral officials allegedly involved in the scam dubbed 'chickengate.'

At the same time, the DPP has said he has received 5 files on the Anglo Leasing security contracts scandal and three are ready to proceed to trial.
