Kericho elderly claim names missing in Cash Transfer Program register

A section of elderly persons in Kericho county who had reportedly registered for the Cash Transfer Program are up in arms claiming that their names are missing from the register.

Led by John Maritim Kosgey, the residents claimed that only 30percent of names were available in the register while 70percent of others were missing.

Kosgey said they followed all the necessary registration procedures and were now puzzled to find their names missing.

He further said said they had raised the issue with the County Social Services Development office but there has been no follow up.

They appealed to the Ministry of Labor and Social Services to intervene and have their names placed in the register for them to benefit from the fund.

Kosgey also hit out at the county elected leaders for failing to follow up on the issue for them with the relevant authorities.
