Keter blames seat loss to graft fight

Embattled Alfed Keter claims that the nullification of his election as Nandi Hills Member of Parliament is as a result of his fight against corruption in the country.

Speaking moments after the the Eldoret High Court ruling nullifying his August 8 election citing irregularities, Keter intimated that he was not taken aback by the ruling but rather expected it.

“I am not shocked at all at the outcome, I expected this because I know I am in a big fight and I am being fought from the top,” said the defiant Keter.

Keter further indicated that his woes began a long time ago when he set out to fight graft.

“I have since discovered serious embezzlement of public funds… Money meant for the elderly, people with disabilities, IDPs being embezzled and I am being fought for trying to fight this menace,” claimed Keter.

While thanking residents of Eldoret for their support, Keter promised to continue with the fight against corruption.
