Key TNA members to face disciplinary action

The National Alliance (TNA) disciplinary committee has summoned several party members over cases of indiscipline.

Addressing the press on Thursday, TNA Disciplinary Committee Secretary General Washington Mac Odingo said they have received complaints and a report from the counties linking the leaders to cases of indiscipline.

“Pursuant to Article 32 of the Party Constitution, we hereby refer to you cases in response to mentioned persons for appropriate action,” read the statement in party.

Those summoned are Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, Nominated Senator Joy Gwendo from Kisumu and Nyeri County Women Representative Priscilla Nyokabi.

Others are Members of County Assembly from Nakuru County Ngware Nganga, Florence Njoroge, Stephen Kihara and Francis Njoroge; and Martin Muchira and Solomon Ndugu from Kiambu County.

Odingo noted that the cases against the aforementioned party members would be heard and determined within 14 days in accordance with the party’s constitution.

He added that anyone found guilty of contravening the party regulations will be disciplined.

The committee, chaired by Halima Kiniti, did not divulge information regarding the allegations facing the members.

TNA Secretary General Onyango Oloo has said that plans to merge affiliate parties in the Jubilee Coalition into one party are still on course adding that consultations between parties are on-going.
