Kiambu County Orders Arrest of Imposter Firefighters

Kiambu County, through its Chief Officer in charge of Public Service and Administration Dominic Githeru, said that residents are not allowed to take over the roles of the county government without consultation.

The county government further says that it has already put in place measures to deal with cases of fire accidents and therefore no reason for the residents to panic.

Githeru noted that the move by the group is not in good faith but aimed at extorting money from unsuspecting residents.

He said that the county government, under the leadership of Governor William Kabogo, has set aside funds to cater for such services and such groups must be stopped at all cost.

The county officer now wants police to swing into action and ensure the group is charged with defrauding or intent to defraud innocent members of the public of their hard earned cash.
