Kidero Bans Alcohol In Rugby Tournament

Kidero said alcoblow devices will be stationed at the entrance and around the pitch to check those drinking.

He also warned that no one would be allowed in the stadium with alcohol and said drinking inside cars parked ouside the pitch is also banned.

Kidero issued the directive during a news briefing in his office.

The directive is set to be applied during sporting events within Nairobi County.

The move comes a few weeks after NACADA boss John Mututho called for the ban of events such as ‘Masaku 7s’

This followed an uproar over Masaku 7s where youths are alleged to have been intoxicated with alcohol leading to immoral behaviours

Kidero may have taken an early precaution to avoid witnessing what Mututho likened to “Sodom and Gomorrah” where underage children abused alcohol and engaged in sex
