Kidero wants to be enjoined in petition against Governor Sonko

A case where former governor Evans Kidero is seeking to be enjoined in a petition challenging the election of Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, will be heard on 13th of November.

In his petition to be enjoined, Kidero insists that Sonko did not win fairly on August 8, on account that some election results declaration forms had multiple anomalies, lacked poll station tallies while others did not have security features.

High Court Judge Mbogoli Msagha asked all the parties of the case to file their responses and make their submissions on time.

Meanwhile, the hearing of the petition filed by a voter, Japheth Moroko, will be heard and determined between November 28 and December 6.

A total of 29 witnesses are expected to testify to the court including four for the petitioner, 23 for the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission and two will be defending Governor Sonko’s win.
