Kijana Wamalwa property tussle: Children now sue CS Wamalwa

The last born daughter of the late former Vice President Michael Kijana Wamalwa has filed for a restraining order against Devolution Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa and 11 other extended family members.

Michelle Wamalwa claims she has been receiving threats on her life and that of her brother Derek Mboya from anonymous callers for going public over the succession of the Kijana Wamalwa estate.

Michelle, who has been out of school for over a year given court orders stopping them from accessing their benefits from the former VP, claims their house has been isolated in the inheritance tussle by her step brothers and sister.

Michelle and Derek are born of the late Yvonne Wamalwa who passed on last year.

Devolution CS Eugene Wamalwa last week spoke for the first time over the property tussle that has rocked the Wamalwa family.

While dismissing the allegations by a section of Former Vice President Kijana Wamalwa’s children as fake news, the Devolution CS went ahead to admit that the matter over succession of his brother’s estate was being handled by the courts.

Last week, two of Kijana Wamalwa’s kin, born of the late Yvonne Wamalwa, accused CS Wamalwa of teaming up with their relatives to dethrone them from their father’s estate.

According to the two; Michelle Wamalwa and Duke Mboya, the situation was further exacerbated by the passing on of their mother Yvonne Wamalwa in January 2018.
