The Kilimani Police Station is on the spot after allegedly letting go of a suspect linked to the arson attack at Malik Heights.

The suspect is said to have been let go after he presented himself at the station.

Senior officers are now probing the circumstances under which Abdirazak Yussuf Adow, whose name and image are have been circulated was freed.

Police believe it is this man who was seen on the CCTV footage wearing a helmet and later igniting the fire that gutted down Malik Heights.

He is said to have presented himself at the Kilimani police station on Wednesday.

However, sources told Citizen TV that the suspect was asked to leave the station under unclear circumstances.

It is not clear who among the officers asked Adow to leave and report back on Thursday which he failed to do.

A manhunt has been reportedly launched for the suspect who is said to have previously worked as a motor vehicle broker at the car yard.

78 high-end vehicles were destroyed during the Monday night incident that saw property worth at least Ksh.600million razed.
