Kimaiyo Summoned To Court Over Resignation

Justice Isaac Lenaola summoned Kimaiyo after three petitioners, Felix Kiprono, Fredrick Odhiambo and Kipchumba Kiptoo moved to court to stop the National Police Service Commission from recruiting a new Inspector General.

The petitioners argue that Kimaiyo’s early retirement was unprocedural.

Kimaiyo resigned on Tuesday hours after the second Al Shabaab attack in mandera at a quarry in korome that left 36 dead.
