Kinango residents tell Joho to keep off Kwale politics

A section of Kinango residents in Kwale County have defended Governor Salim Mvurya and Jubilee administration over disruption of a rally that was to be addressed by Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho and Kilifi leader Amason Kingi.

Addressing journalists in Kinango on Friday, the residents accused ODM of failing to obtain a permit for the rally and denied claims that Governor Mvurya and Kinango MP Gonzi Rai were behind the disruption.

“Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho is bitter with Kwale governor since youth from the area are no longer seeking jobs in his county but have been taken to school by Mvurya,” said Rehema Kaluma, a resident

Kaluma asked Joho to keep off Kwale County and concentrate on Mombasa politics.

Another resident, Mohamed Said, said Jubilee has already started tarmacking Kinango-Samburu road among other development projects.

Kinango youth leader Charo Simba on the other hand said that Kwale people are behind governor Mvurya and president Uhuru Kenyatta  warning that youths will not be used by rogue politicians to breach peace.

“If you come to Kinango be peaceful and we will listen you. Come with a lot of respect. Kwale people are behind Governor Mvurya and President Uhuru Kenyatta,” said Kinango youth leader Charo Simba.
